Tell Me How You Really Feel: How to Not Say How You Feel (While Saying Exactly How You Feel)
Thank you to everyone who’s listened to the EP. If you haven’t yet, maybe you will when you’re in the car, scrolling through your options, looking for something different—something barely anyone’s heard. Or maybe while you’re walking through the store, grabbing groceries. Or when you finally decide to step outside after being inside all day. Or Maybe it’s not for you.
Music has always made me feel understood, and that feeling—like you’re part of something bigger than yourself—has saved my life.
Time keeps marching on.
Sometimes people ask how you’re doing, and you don’t know what to say. It’s hard to say how you feel with certainty and in the moment. The closest we get is speaking from the heart—but we usually don’t. We don’t want to feel embarrassed. Exposed. Sometimes we’d rather say nothing than admit we have bad days.
This EP is a collection of thoughts, memories, and feelings from the last seven years. I made it to help me cope with the passing of time. I made it for myself. By myself. Maybe the next thing I make will be for other people. But this one? This one is mine.
